9th Annual Art & Wine Festival 2019 | Sunday, May 5th (12pm-5pm)

Spring forward and mark your calendars for one of Sykesville’s most popular events:

the 9th Annual Fine Art & Wine Festival. This outstanding annual event features local artists and artisans alongside with wineries and wine-makers, plus great food and live entertainment. The Sykesville Fine Art & Wine Festival, presented by the Downtown Sykesville Connection with the support of its Title Sponsor – Carroll Community Bank and the support of the Town of Sykesville, is a must-see attraction for locals and visitors alike.

Set along the Town’s historic Main Street, the Festival draws thousands of visitors each year to browse an exciting marketplace of fine art and phenomenal worldwide wines. The Festival also showcases the local business community, embodying an atmosphere of old-fashioned, small town charm. Enjoy live music while you sip from a collectible wine glass (unlimited samples) and make your rounds through the heart of Historic Sykesville.

The Downtown Sykesville Connection administers the nationally accredited Main Street program for the Town of Sykesville, and has 501(c)3 designation as a component fund of the Carroll Community Foundation. In partnership with the Town of Sykesville, the DSC strives to ensure a thriving community and vibrant economic climate for businesses, residents and visitors.

Submitting an Application?

Payment can be submitted via the following methods:

  • Accompany your application with a check (made payable to Downtown Sykesville Connection)
  • Pay online with a credit card
  • To make an online payment, please visit our Community Fund page and click the “Donate” button
  • All online payments are securely processed via PayPal
  • Please be sure to send a copy of your PayPal receipt to DowntownSykesvilleConnection@gmail.com with your application!

The Sykesville Farmers Market runs every Sunday, 9:00am-1:00pm from May 19th to Oct 27th! You can find a variety of fruits and vegetables, herbs, honey, cakes, nuts, beef, pork, poultry, eggs, cheese, baked goods, dog treats, jewelry, pickles, wine, and more.

We have the Junior Market returning that is entirely operated by the kids! Every Sunday we will have a guest Non-Profit group joining us to connect with our community (Stay tuned as the guest non-profit will be announced on our Facebook page every week!).

The Little Sykes railway will be running from 9am-1pm.

Did we mention we have a moon bounce and kids games (hula hoops, chalk, and jump ropes…) always available for free at the market from 9am-1pm?!

Are you a teen looking to complete your service learning hours for school? The Sykesville Farmers Market is just the place for you! We are a weekly farmers market that runs on Sundays beginning May 19th through October 27th. Volunteers who dedicate 50 hours or more to the Sykesville Farmers Market and Downtown Sykesville Connection events are eligible for a scholarship!!! Click here to sign up!
